If you wanted to get the cutting edge performance of a computer a few years ago you were restricted to an oversized desktop complete with giant CRT monitor. These were inefficient, took up tons of space and were very power hungry with little productivity. Now technology has surpassed that era as we are moving into the age of the laptop. But which laptop is the best? Which laptop should you get if you want a netbook? Or what about one for gaming? Here is a list of some of the highest rated laptops out there:

Best Gaming Laptop (ASUS G74SX): When it comes to gaming ASUS has made many products to help the gamers of the world get the maximum potential out of their machines. The G74SX is no slouch when it comes to power as it sports a Intel I7 2630 QM processor and can be upgraded with a full 16 gb of ram. It also sports a 560 GT mobile graphics card with 3 gb of memory and all this is wrapped up in a slim housing sporting a bright 17.3” screen. The only problem about this unit is it comes with a regular HD instead of a SSD (so if you want the most out of this machine you should look at that as a possible upgrade.) The price? Around $1,700 but with that you get a machine that can dominate almost any desktop that’s out there when it comes to gaming (and you won’t have to lug a heavy desktop to your next lan party).

Best Netbook: (Acer Aspire One D255) If you want to have a small laptop that you can take on then the Acer Aspire One is the model for you. This netbook sports a crystal clear 10.1” screen and is outfitted with an Intel Atom Processor. Most of these units have Windows 7 pre-installed so it makes this the perfect machine whether you want to surf the web, get work done away from the office or watch a flick or two on a very long flight. And the best part? The battery has the ability to last for a day on a full charge! So you’ll be able to get what you need done and not have to worry about finding a place to plug in your netbook. The price of these netbooks are really cheap at around $250 you’ll have a computer that will let you do just as much as some of their clunky desktop counterparts.

Best Ultrabook (Samsung Series 9): A new breed of laptop has been created as users wanted to get the power of some of the bigger laptops combined in a sleek and radical design. There are many ultrabooks that are out there but one of the best is the Samsung Series 9 NP900X4B-A02US. What makes this so great? Well for starters it is one of the thinnest and lightest laptops in the world today. It only weighs 3.51 lbs and has a thickness of .58 inches you would think that it is all style and no substance. You would be proven wrong as this machine has a I5 processor, 8 gb of ram a 128 gb SSD drive and HD 3000 graphics. This machine would be able to keep up with whatever you throw at it and the SSD drive makes loading programs and windows a breeze. The price is a bit hefty as it is around $1,500 but if you want a cutting edge laptop look no further than the Samsung Series 9.

Best Laptop under $1000: (Fujitsu LifeBook S751): Fujitsu has been making noteworthy technology for years on end and one of its crowning achievements is the Lifebook S751. This 14” laptop comes with a I5 core processor at 2.40 ghz and 4 gb of ram (which can be maxed out at 8gb). It also comes installed with a 320 GB hard drive which is more than enough capacity to store your documents, movies, pictures and music. One of the more unique features of this laptop is there is a anti-theft device hidden in the bios. Once this unit is stolen the ATP (or advanced theft protection) can be activated and the laptop can be tracked down by GPS. There is even an option to remotely wipe the data from the hard drive with this ATP. That gives new meaning to protecting your documents. And the price? It can be purchased for under $900 in some circles so if you want a good computer that has great security definitely check out this lifebook.

Best Laptop under $500: (HP Pavillion DM1Z) : HP is dedicated to giving the users the best products for their money and the HP Pavillion DM1Z is no exception. This machine sports an AMD Dual Core E450 processor (1.65 ghz) and comes standard with 4 ghz of ram and a 500 gb hard drive. What makes this model special is that it comes with Beats audio. What is beats audio? It’s a better way to experience your music and movies with crystal clear sound instead of hearing that whirr of your laptop fan you’ll only hear your music. The icing on the cake is this is all powered by a six cell lithium ion battery which will give you long lasting performance for when you can’t plug in your laptop. This unit is ideal for people who are on the go and want to get the most from their laptop and for under $500 it is one of the best bargains that is out there today.

Cheapest and highest rated laptop: (Lenovo Essential G570): Everyone wants to get a great deal on a laptop but it is getting harder to find a laptop that has a decent sized screen, good performance and some storage to hold everything that they want to carry with them. Lenovo makes a machine called the Essential G570 and while it doesn’t have the latest Intel processors it does have a Mobile processor to give you just enough power to do daily things like surfing the web or checking your mail. Add in a big 15.6” bright display, a DVD+RW drive and a 320 gb hard drive all with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit installed and you have a machine that you can take with you wherever you go. Machines that are similar to this one have sold for $500 and up but this machine retails for around $329! A steal at this price as you’re getting a bigger screen than most netbooks but for the same price!

And there you have it! Some of the highest rated laptops that are out there today and around the web. But don’t just take my word for it do some of your own research online , look around and ask questions and you’ll find a laptop that will fit not only your needs and style but your budget as well.

Your computer is so old it has a copy of Windows 98 on it and is barely held together with duct tape and hot glue. You think it’s time for a new computer and want to settle on a laptop as it can do whatever the big brother desktops can do and they are portable. But you want to get the best deal on your laptop so where should you go to start your search? Here are a few ideas to help you get started.

1) Online Outlet Stores: Every major brand name computer manufacturer has an outlet store all you need to do is find them. A quick google search of your favorite brand + outlet store should direct you to appropriate web page. Once there you can find deals on machines that are either refurbished or what we call “scratch and dent” models (which means exactly that units that have a few scratches or dents.) Now the best thing about this is most of these units come with a year warranty so if anything happens to your laptop within that first year you’re covered. Other companies offer extended warranties and if you feel so inclined you might want to take that as well. My latest laptop which is an Alienware M14x was bought from a dell outlet store online and I got it for under a grand.

2) Ebay: This can be hit or miss as some of the people you are dealing with are just that.. people. Which means most of these laptops will not have any type of warranty or if it breaks or goes bad you are out the money. However there is also an opportunity to snag some really good units that may have small things missing (for example I found a great gaming laptop that sold on there for around $300 and the reason it went so cheap is it had no hard drive. Slap in a $50 notebook hard drive and you’re good to go!)

3) Pricewatch.com: This is a key tool if you are not just going to buy a laptop but any type of computer equipment. All you do is search for what you want or go to the ones that are grouped by categories, click on it and you’re given a list of what you want starting at the lowest price. Most of these units may not be brand new and might be refurbished units with no warranties so just be careful and use the general rule. If it too good to be true it usually isn’t.

4) Retail Stores: Most retail stores are looking out for their own bottom line so the chances of getting a deal in these places are pretty rare. However, it’s not at all impossible to get a deal at a Best Buy, Target or even Walmart (which is where my roommate got a sweet deal on a netbook recently). But the holy grail of electronic stores and this should be the one place you should look if you have one near you is Fry’s. This electronics giant not only has whatever you need but it has it at decent prices. They also come out with a weekly circular that has specials on everything from memory to processors to of course laptops. My co-worker bought a HP during one of their sales and suffice to say she got a excellent laptop for under $600!

5) craigslist.com: This is a crapshoot. You might be able to get a great deal or you might come home with a computer that works one day and fails the next. There are businesses that advertise on CL and while I am more prone to deal with them than individuals you might want to do your homework. Another co-worker scored a macbook from some guy that was desperate to sell and she managed to get a deal and this unit came complete with applecare! That is an added bonus but like I said this is buyer beware category so watch yourself.

And there you have it! Five places to find some good deals on laptops. So get on out there and look around because you never know what you’re going to find.

When I was growing up we had big headphones that you had to wear if you wanted to get the full effect of your music. Now some of the best headphones are the earbuds because they are lightweight, compact and deliver the best quality and full richness of sound to your ears.

But which ones should you be on the lookout for? Which are the best earbuds and which will give you the most value for your money? Here’s a short list giving you some of the best earbuds out there so you can really enjoy your music.

- Best Earbuds (Klipsch Image X10): Without a doubt if you are going to go for speakers or earbuds of any type and price is not a factor you should start out with Klipsch. Why? Because they produce some of the best products and the Image X10 is one of them. These small , lightweight earbuds mesh style with comfort as well as superior sound. One of my roommates has a pair of these and you can actually feel the bass as if you were putting your ear next to a subwoofer. The downside? They are a tad pricey at $164.00 on the average but if you want some of the best sound then look no further than the Image X10.

- Best Earbuds under $100 (Shure SE215): Another good company that has been around for quite sometime is Shure and these new earbuds give some of the best quality that rival some of the more expensive earbuds. Some other good features is that the cables are detachable and each of these units come with a 2 year warranty from the factory. And the price? $99 will get you superior earbuds that rival the ones in the higher price brackets. If you want to get great quality sound without the muddled sounds that you might hear from cheaper earbuds definitely give these a try as they will not disappoint you.

- Best Earbuds under $50 (Maximo iMetal iM590): As I was researching this article I came across these little earbuds that retail for $49.95 and thought to myself ‘What makes these small earbuds so special?’ Not only do these earbuds give you great sound but they also give you noise isolation to give you the best atmosphere for experiencing your music and movies. Add in that you get adaptors for using on airplanes and you have a pair of earbuds that are great to take along anywhere.

-Best Earbuds under $25 (Altec Lansig Muzx 136): While doing research for this article I came upon an old standby as my first computer speakers were made by this company. Altec Lansig has continually made excellent products and the Muzx 136 is no exception. What makes these earbuds unique is the construction as they are built with wood inside the earbud. This results in exceptional sound and wonderful clarity at a price that anyone can afford. I was looking for a good pair of earbuds for my ipod and I think these would be the best solution for this as I have seen them as low as $20 online.

- Cheapest Earbuds (Ifrogz Earpollution Plugz Headset): Usually I don’t like to spend a lot of money on earbuds for various reasons (they break easily, they get lost, misplaced, etc.) So I am constantly on the lookout for a cheap pair of earbuds that give great sound at a cheap price. Enter the Ifrogz Earpollution Plugz Headset as a way to not only get a cheap pair of earbuds but a complete headset system for a very low cost. You heard right as these earbuds have a built in high definition mic so you can use this product with your favorite smartphone for hands free calling. And the price? Under $15 will get you these bad boys and trust me when I say this if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on the latest cutting edge tech then give these a shot.

- Best Earbuds for Running (Sennheiser adidas OMX 680): Most people love to listen to music while out jogging but there are some earbuds that have too short of a cord and the isolation earbuds are not a good idea to wear while you are running. These earbuds not only are durable enough to withstand the most rugged workouts but it is also treated to handle moisture which will happen while you are running. And one of the best features is that these earbuds let in more sound so you can not only listen to your news but the world around you (and that’s very important when you’re out in public). These are also affordably priced at around $50 you can get geared up to run to your favorite tunes.

- Best Earbuds for working out (Koss KSC75): While these are not earbuds per se they are very lightweight in ear headphones that at first you look at and go “I am not going to get any sound from this. They look too flimsy and probably don’t have any power behind them.” You would be 100% wrong as these earbuds are perfect for the people who want to work out but not want to wear earbuds. They have a comfortable sports clip design as they fit snugly around your ears giving you the richest sound possible for these type of headphones. And they are affordably priced for less than $20.

So there you have it a wide range of earbuds to please your ears as well as your pocketbook. Find one of these that you like , crank up your favorite tunes and experience music like you have never had before.

The simple rule that applies to almost all gadgets available in the market is simplicity over dexterity and innovation. People crave for a product which is smart, sleek and simple to use. Subsequently, the only product which has evolved over time and confined to the ever escalating standards is Television. No one imagined TVs to get so smart and so sleek. From large-box CRTs to Monolithic Plasma 3D TVs, it has been a fascinating journey for the ‘idiot box’.

We are going to pry into some avant-garde Flat-screen TVs available in the market, which would take your entertainment-quotient to next level. The breed of Flat-screen TVs include technologies like DLP, LCD, LED, plasma and the latest being, 3D TVs. Do not get confused by these jargons, we are going to give rational justifications for each and help you choose a product, which best suits your needs.

Samsung PN59D8000:

Undoubtedly, the best Flat-screen TV panel on earth. Though expensive, this elite TV from Samsung just blows you away with its mesmerizing picture quality and smart features. The pictures displayed are meticulously elegant, thanks to its 59 inch plasma panel which renders both 2D and 3D pictures equally well.

Killer-feature: Though it’s incredibly slim, filled with lots of smart features and delivers the best-in-class performance, it’s the 59 inch resplendent plasma panel and the incredibly sharp 2D to 3D conversion engine, which completely takes your breath away.

Who should buy this?

People who are ardent lovers of technology and crave for a product which distinctively stands out from the crowd should buy this. People who have a spacious and large living room should definitely go for this product. It would unarguably begrudge your neighbors.

Sony KDL-55HX750:

The LCD panel delivers sublime performance, thanks to its resplendent display and magnificent color quality. X-Reality Picture Engine integrated into this device makes gaming and movie-viewing an extremely pleasurable experience.

Killer-feature:

Unlike Samsung PN59D8000, this one is relatively easy to use and also inevitably more stylish. It supports dynamic edge LED backlighting for surreal color and contrast. Moreover, the 3D rendering of pictures is surprisingly elegant and picture-perfect.

The only bottom-line of this flat-panel LCD is that, it is pretty expensive by standards and does not come with 3D glasses, which means you may have to buy one, to view the images in three-dimension.

Who should buy this?

To be very fair, buy this only if you are super-rich and fancy buying a product, which apart from being powerful, is the most coveted product in the market. Undoubtedly, this gizmo from Sony is worth every buck, if you can afford to shell.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50:

It comes with built-in live apps, 3D support and unlike conventional LCDs, offers a superb off-angle and resplendent display. The images are crisp and the sound performance is equally good, very much ideal for a large room.

Killer-feature:

It’s affordable and it delivers quite an extra-ordinary performance for the bucks you pay. This 55 inch giant renders full HD videos and is perhaps the best flat-panel TV you can get, when you pile up an index of cost versus performance.

The only potential drawback of this flat-panel TV would be the lack of an efficient 3D rendering mechanism. Also, the power-consumption is a bit over the mark and it is available only in sizes greater than 50’’.

Who should buy this?

Well, the answer is you and me, the common man. It is people who want to buy a flat panel TV within strict budgetary constraints. It has got all the features of the smart TV and comes at an incredibly modest price.

Sony Bravia XBR-55HX929:

This LED based LCD is beautiful and extremely powerful. It delivers excellent picture quality and offers ample video processing options. The display comes covered with Gorilla glass and the design is extremely catchy.

Killer-feature:

A new dimension: The rendering of 3D images with minimal cross-talk is by far the best we have come across in the flat-screen TV segment. The internet suite included in this device supports numerous streaming services and different eye-catching and useful widgets (Skype, Facebook, etc.).

Who should buy this?

Well if you can go little over the budget and crave for a ‘beauty-with-brain’ type product, this one is out on earth just for you. It competes well with top-notch plasmas and LEDs in the segment and is invariably one of the best buy. Do not think twice before buying, this one would make you fall in love at the very first sight.

Having reviewed some elite Flat-screen TVs, we would advise you to choose a TV based on your requirements, size of the room, the lighting (as you would require more resplendent display if the room is bright and vice versa), budget and features. There is no point in buying what you do not require. Hence, prior to buying, analyze your requirements and then draw a conclusion as to which TV would be perfect for your needs. Do extensive market research before buying but do not boggle your mind too much with a wide number of choices. Remember you are just buying, not marrying.

Before the days of wireless if you wanted to connect multiple machines to a network you had to run cable all over the house. Now I don’t know about you but I certainly do not miss the days of stringing cable thru the entire house to get our computers hooked up. Wireless offers all the speed, reliability and security of regular connections while letting you surf anywhere within your house. But what’s a good router to get and what are some of the easiest ones to set up? Here are a few that you might want to check out.

1) Linksys E2000: This is the router that I own and use in my home and I have to say hands down this is one of the best routers I have used. Why? It’s super easy to set up as you just put in a setup disc and it will automatically scan and configure settings for the computers hardwired into the router and also set up your wireless network. This is also one of the fastest routers I have ever seen (I had done a speed test while connected to my router and I was pulling down at least 23gb on download and sending 3.5 gb on upload). The best feature of this router is it’s incredibly cheap (at around $90 for a router that’s a great price with many features and easy setup.)

2) Netgear N900: What’s to say about this piece of tech? It’s a dual band router so it can handle two connections of 450 gbs simultaneously. It has an excellent range and is optimized for streaming video and wireless gaming. It also has a very easy feature to set up your devices whether it be PC, Mac, tablets or other smart devices. The only drawback to this is the price at around $250.00 online this is one of the most expensive routers that I have seen out there.

3) Asus Black Diamond: From the makers of great motherboards and laptops comes a router that’s ready to kick ass! It is sleek looking and has a compact design (as opposed to other routers that take up lots of space and are bulky). The one thing I love about this router is the speed as it has been clocked at 910 mbs at a wireless connection and up to 1 gbs connection if it’s a conventional wired connection. Think about that.. that’s one gig per SECOND if you’re using a wired connection. And the price is lower than the netgear N900 and it is a dual band router as well.

4) Belkin Surf: Belkin has been a long supplier of network products ever since I was a kid and one of the newer products is the Belkin Surf. Not only will this give you all the coverage you will need in your home and easy set up but it has other features that other wireless routers do not. For example it has preset security so you can be protected the moment your network comes online. It is also the only wireless router that has the ability to self heal itself (which means it can detect and resolve network issues instead of you trying to figure it out). The cons are it only does up to 300mbps so if you want something for gaming or streaming you might want to look elsewhere. Also the price is excellent at $34.99 you can have your own network ready to go in no time.

So there you have it. Four good routers that will give you the coverage, speed and security that you’ll need in your wireless network. So try one of these out , get connected and get ready to surf the net anywhere in your own home!

Whether you have a desktop or a laptop one thing is certain. Most of the onboard speakers that are bundled with today’s systems are just not up to par to give you that experience that you crave. You want to be able to hear the sounds of gunfire erupt from all sides as your playing your favorite FPS or watch your favorite car chase scene, good speakers are a good addition to your computer system. Or maybe you own a portable device like an mp3 player and want to be able to stream music anywhere around the house.

But instead of fussing around with wires and all that mess wouldn’t it be a better idea to go wireless? Here are some really good speakers that come with no strings attached.

1) Veho 360 Bluetooth speaker: If there’s an inclination that big things indeed do come in small packages then it would be this bad boy here. This is a speaker that can fit into your pocket and deliver some of the best sound on the planet. It was originally designed for use with an ipod or other mobile devices but it does have bluetooth connectivity so it can be used by your laptop or desktop as well. And the price is right as I have seen these units for under $30! The only drawback to this product is that you have to charge it thru a USB powered port (such as a desktop or a laptop). They do have a wall charger but you would have to fork over some bucks to get it.

2) Creative Labs Inspire T12: Creative Labs has been around for many years and they believe in delivering the best sound possible to computer users and this is definitely a breakthru. The inspire T12 are two computer speakers that deliver high quality sound with bass all without the addition of a clunky subwoofer. This is made possible by using Creative’s patented Bassflex technology that will give you the best sound in the house. You can connect any bluetooth device up to ten meters away from these speakers and enjoy the benefits. But what if you don’t have bluetooth or have an older ipod? Not a problem! You can purchase a transmitter which is sold separately that allows these devices to be seen by the speakers. The only drawback is which these are wireless speakers they do need to be plugged into a power outlet but other than that it’s a pretty killer set of speakers.

3) Logitech Z515 Wireless Speaker: Lets say you wanted to get a wireless speaker system that delivered excellent sound but also had an easy setup. If that’s what you want look no further than the Logitech Z515 Speaker system. This device has a few nifty features for example it is lightweight, compact and sports its own travel bag. The device can either run off AC power or the battery which gives users up to 10 hours of battery life. And the best part is if your computer does not support bluetooth you can simply plug in the usb adapter which is included! These speakers are also affordably priced at under $90 so this might be the perfect solution to a no fuss wireless speaker setup for your home.

4) Solar Sound 2: This sounds like something from the future as there is now a wireless speaker that allows you to recharge it’s batteries from the sun itself. Solar sound is a revolutionary speaker system that allows itself to be charged from the solar panels atop the unit. And the best thing is this package comes with two speakers so you can experience true stereo sound for your ipod , ipad or any other device that has bluetooth (so yes, laptops can use this as well!). Another great feature is that these speakers have at least a 10 hour battery life and sport touch screen controls and also has a mic (so if paired with your bluetooth phone you can use it for hands free calling).

So there you have it four wireless speakers to give you the most enjoyment out of your devices. Check some of these products out and get ready to hear great sound without all the wires.

We have all been there you’re either working or playing around on your desktop and you want to move the keyboard so it’s more comfortable for you to type. But your keyboard is one of these old wired keyboards and so is the mouse so you can’t move it to the position you want. Oh sure you can get adapters and lengthen the cable but what you really need to do is to go wireless.

Wireless keyboards and mice have been around for quite sometime now and there are all types of devices for either home use, office use even for gaming! I am going to illustrate 3 of some of the best wireless keyboards and of the best wireless mice.

Best Keyboards:

(Gaming) Cideko Air Keyboard Conquer: At first glance this looks more like a controller than a keyboard and you might be right but it also has the best of both worlds. Most games can be configured to use the dual analog sticks as well as the buttons (that resemble the xbox 360 triggers). It also sports a full qwerty mini keyboard as well as a gyro mouse! Which means you can move this around and the cursor will move on the screen. Add to that a 20 hour battery life and you have one of the best wireless keyboards out there for gaming today.

(Home) Gigabyte KM7580: If you are a slave to cords and want to get away from that and go wireless without spending a whole lot of money then look no further than the KM7580. Included in this bundle is not just the keyboard but the mouse as well. This package is bundled with the keyboard, mouse and a small receiver that plugs into your usb port. It uses a 2.4 ghz connection to give you the best range possible. This is sold as a package deal a wireless keyboard and mouse duo and all for under $30! So if you want to try your hand at wireless definitely consider this as it’s a great option for someone starting out.

(Business) Logitech K750: This wireless keyboard is sleek, stylish and would be perfect for either everyday office use or when you need to make a presentation. This keyboard is very slim (only ? of a inch thick) and feels good enough to type on (almost as if you were typing on a notebook keyboard). The best part about this? It’s a solar powered keyboard and as the slogan goes “if you have light , you have power”. With a price tag under $70 this would be one weapon in your powerful arsenal.

Best Mice:

(Gaming) Razer Orochi: Razer has been making good products by gamers and for gamers for the last few years and one of the pinnacles of this technology is the Razer Orochi. Not only can you use this either wired or wireless and it has a 2.4 ghz band with to give you the range that you’ll need while gaming. It also has a good battery life and several buttons that you can program with multiple games with the included software. And its priced under $70 for a mouse that will be able to handle anything you throw at it.

(Home) Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500: If you are looking for a wireless mouse that you can just use and be dependable then look no further than the Mobile Mouse 3500. This mouse has something called Blue Track technology which is a technology that allows you to use the mouse on more surfaces than a typical optical or laser mouse. This also comes with a nano transceiver that you can plug into your laptop or desktop and begin to use it right away. Best part is the battery has up to an eight month battery life and lets you know when it’s running low. For a mouse that can be gotten for a little over $20 you can’t beat the bang that you’ll get for your buck.

(Business) Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball : When it comes down to business you need something that will give you precise control and if that’s the case look no further than this wireless trackball from Logitech. The best part about this mouse is that it features an adjustable laser sensor so you can get the proper amount of control that you will need which makes it perfect for use with graphical application. Add on top of it that it has a transceiver that hides within the mouse for easy storage and a battery with a 18 month lifespan and you have the ultimate tool that you can take on the road or to the office.

This is only some of the great products that are out there so look around, read reviews and don’t be afraid to cut the cord and go wireless!

Now the Kindle eReader is not the only eReader device in the market. There are so many options available now. Therefore, considering all other options available exactly what you might be justified to keep things as they are?

Amazon’s Kindle has dominated this particular market at the beginning of that particular company. Only recently, but an increasing number of participants joined the eReader competition. When the Kindle was launched a few years ago the steep cost of about $ 400 has failed to stop seriously most people decide to buy the gadget.

These days, however, there are more players that are cheaper and can also do the job. In the top 5 for the magazine PCWorld Kindle eReader was third, Sony Reader Pocket Edition, and Barnes and Noble Nook. As we said before the competition helps to improve service and Amazon Kindle is definitely step-up to the plate.

First and for some of the key, reducing the cost of Amazon Kindle. The purchase price has dropped from $ 400 to $ 139 an illusion now available for Kindle 3 Wi-Fi Another improvement that consumers should be enjoying the lowest rates. It is 21% smaller, eight 5.3 inch by 0.36 for the previous version 7.5 by 4.8 inches by 0.34 Kindle 3.

A brand new feature added that Kindle 3 Nook Barnes and Noble, had their equipment was currently in the second generation wireless technology. As before the competition pushed Amazon Kindle to go instead of resting on our laurels. Now, Amazon Kindle has wireless capability, which allows customers not only buy ebooks, but also download content anywhere.

Reading has also been developed, improved contrast on the screen. This will help the owner to read in a different light. I also enjoy the functionality Text-to-speech and speaker integrated Kindle. These are fantastic for those who want to be rocked.

The Kindle is not without its problems, even though Amazon has over 350,000 titles that you will be able to download, Barnes and Noble wins the round with nearly half a million electronic books, newspapers and magazines available to its customers. Last but not least is the battery. According to the Kindle when using Wi-Fi to complete load may continue for two weeks, while not to use this function extends to four weeks.

The Nook Vs Kindle 2

Barnes and Noble will now sell the “Nook”, its addition to the eBook Reader market, largely dominated by the Kindle and Sony Reader. What’s so special about the Nook?

Unique feature # 1 – The Nook eBook Reader has a vibrant color screen navigation. This means colors when traveling under blankets ebook, newspapers, magazines, etc. The Kindle 2 still has a grayscale screen. Is it a positive factor for the Nook?

Unique feature # 2 – The Nook boasts the ability to lend books to other people who have the “app” on your smart device. Thus, the lendee not necessarily the Nook, but one application. This application runs on iPhone, Blackberry Touch, etc. .. The person who lends the book can be for up to two weeks, and will not have access to the book while lending it. Advantage or not, even a feature?

Unique feature # 3 – The “E Ink” display is a key technology in this new device, and is also a feature of Kindle 2. This screen display technology is “clearer than the actual text of the book,” according to the folks at Barnes and Noble. You can make the font as large and small, as well as you want.

Unique feature # 4 – The Nook has the ability to synchronize with any quasi-intelligent device on the market today. The Nook is powered by software from Google “Android”, and is compatible with over 100 other electronic devices on the market. So there are four forms of the Nook is an exclusive addition to Market eBook Reader.

All these features are unique to the Amazon Kindle 2.

Kindle 2 has a navigation screen in color, but not the same “E Ink” screen, so it is comparable.

The Kindle does not give you the opportunity to borrow books as the Nook is. Let’s see if this feature is something that embraces the consumer, or if a call is forgotten.

The Kindle, however, a “text to speech” so that you can change the address when you drive the car. The Kindle has the ability to synchronize with some devices, but will not compete with that Nook synchronizes with 100 aircraft. Android software is not yet a proven system, and we have to see how developers to embrace the new platform from Google.

So who is the winner? It’s up to you to decide.

One of the things that I love to do is write and sometimes I can’t just sit by my desktop computer and write. I need to have a bit of a distraction and the TV is in the living room and I really don’t want to lug the computer back and forth.

A friend of mine gave me an old Gateway MX6426 and it was great for a time. But these things had a design flaw with the power connector (I should know as I had to rip it apart so my friend could resodder the connection).

As my birthday was approaching I decided that I didn’t want to deal with this headache anymore but what could I get for a decent amount? I didn’t want to spend $1,500 on a gaming laptop but I did want to get something that could be used for gaming and other stuff as well. I looked online for cheap gaming laptops and found dell’s outlet site (www.dell.com/outlet) and looked under Alienware.

I was shocked when I saw the M14x for 899.

Not even thinking of the ‘how am I going to afford this?’ or anything else a few days before my birthday I applied for financing, got it and ordered the computer. It was such a thrill and when the computer arrived my room mate said “It came today and I hope you don’t mind that I unpacked it and turned it on to charge it.”

I didn’t mind in the slightest as I wanted to play. There it sat on the coffee table glowing blue backlit keys with the Alienware logo displayed proudly. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning getting the present that he most wanted after all.

Now before you get all excited the version that I got doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of it’s bigger cousins. It has a 14” screen so for some it tends to be a bit small (just right for me). It also has a I5 processor instead of a I7 but it also comes with 6gb of ram as well. What clenched it for me was the 500 gb hard drive and the GeForce 555 GT with 1.5 gb of video memory. That is MORE ram than my desktop card has!

As I got everything ready I decided to install a game on it but had no idea which one. I finally settled on Need For Speed: The Run as it was a recent game and was pretty intensive. I started the game and lo and behold it was a bit choppy and then realized the drivers were not up to date. After a short hop to get the latest Nvidia driver I fired it up and boom.. it worked like a champ!

So far everything that I have thrown at this little beast it has tackled and done it as well if not better than my desktop in the other room! And the price is right at only 899.00 from the dell depot and the best part about buying refurbished? It STILL comes with a one year warranty!

So if you want to play some of your favorite games on the go and not spend a ton of money give this machine a look! But you better hurry because as soon as everyone finds out these machines are going to disappear fast.
